It's really fascinating that all it takes is one book. One book to change everything, to turn everything upside down. Books help when no one else does. Trust me. The small stories, the incidents which take place, the small happiness, the sadness helps you distract from the real problems you're facing currently.
I read my first book earlier this year. Previously, I used to HATE reading, hated the fact that novels don't have pictures(How Cute). And there was a time when everything was crushed. Nothing was left to fix, everything was going wrong and most part of it is still going wrong. But I used to feel helpless, I used to think Everything was over. But then, I started reading. The first book, then the second then the trilogy then the series and it keeps on going and will still continue.
I'm not saying books are the ULTIMATE GUIDE TO LIFE or something of that sort. But the stories and situations about how the characters handle themselves accordingly is both useful and amazing. If implemented logically you can really try in real life and it WORKS! Did for me at least. Some part of it. And obviously, the quotes. God! the quotes. Maybe the quotes we read say so much about ourselves than the people they are actually quoting.
Bottom line, reading isn't the cure, but it helps. Helps a Lot. Helps you get through the situation you're facing. Or if it's too much to handle, helps you distract for a while and it's quite useful at the time.
I will keep reading, Keep writing and maybe I might as well will write what I feel about the books I read or will read or Just about my life.
Life is not fair.
Nor is the ending of a beautiful book.
